A food quiz is one of the best ways to encourage your child to fall in love with healthy food and eat mindfully. Taking this into account, HT School and Sluurp joined hands with Lupin, an Ayurveda-based solution provider to conduct an online quiz for students of grades 1 to 6. Known as Lupin Aptivate Achchi Bhook School Foodie Quiz 2022, the Prelims of this nationwide tag-team quiz was held on 30th October, wherein a kid and parent(s) formed a team and together went on to explore the world of healthy food. It received more than 10,000 registrations and the topmost responsive states were Delhi (4114), Punjab (1940), Maharashtra (1674), Haryana (1041) and Uttar Pradesh (873).
The Prelims round was conducted asynchronously on the Quizizz Platform and saw over 5500 participants (child-parent teams). This hour-long round comprised of 45 questions in multiple-choice and type-in-formats.
Only the top 150 participants will qualify into the Finale that will be held on 5th November. It will be conducted on Zoom and will be moderated by distinguished quizmaster duo, Dr. Navin Jayakumar and Mr. Avinash Mudaliar. While all the contestants from the Prelims as well as the Finale will receive digital participation certificates, the top 40 will receive prizes worth 2.5lakh in Amazon vouchers.
Among the 150 finalists, the top 5 scorers from the Prelims round of this nationwide online quiz are Advit Sah, a grade 3 student from Pune, Maharashtra, Revika Joshi, a grade 2 student from Suburban Mumbai, Maharashtra, Anjishnu Nag, a grade 6 student from Hooghly, West Bengal, Advik Dadwal, a grade 4 student from Gurgaon, Haryana and Arjun, another grade 4 student from Chennai, Tamil Nadu.
The most difficult question from the Prelims was this: “In 2012, South African fast-food chain Wimpy came up with a unique campaign to let a special group of customers know that they were offering a certain special type of menu in all of their restaurants. They made some special burgers in which the sesame seeds were arranged by hand on top of the bun in specific patterns and then the buns were baked, cementing the seeds firmly into the surface so that they wouldn't fall off. What special kind of menus were being promoted thus by Wimpy?” The answer to this question was Braille. Only 3 per cent of the contestants who attempted it got it correct.
On the contrary, 96 per cent of the participants who attempted the easiest question, got it right. Here’s the question: “Which health-enhancing ingredient used in Aptivate Syrup is pictured here? It is known by many names including Indian Gooseberry, but we are most familiar with a Sanskrit-derived name.” The answer is Amla.
The online food quiz covers wide range of topics such as world cuisines, science behind food, different types of diets, food and nutrition, food sources, food facts, food groups, ayurvedic foods, food and health, history of food, and the origin of food. Brace yourself for the much-anticipated fun and excitement of the Finale. It’s coming soon!
