Explore interactions between intelligent machines and humans in a hands-on approach. Learn AI the fun way!
This Artificial Intelligence course will enable students build their own AI programs, using Scratch with AI Extension, a visual programming tool where students create programs by joining colour-coded blocks together in a proper sequence.Students can utilize specialized blocks that incorporate AI functionalities, such as speech input and output, speech synthesis and recognition, image recognition, machine learning and so much more, into their programs. Access to Scratch-for-AI (S4AIWS extensions) is created by the AI World School (AIWS) development team and follows a Project-Based Learning plus hands-on programming approach. This course complements the CBSE and Atal Tinkering Laboratories (ATL) curricula and comprises interactive videos that enable greater memory retention of AI concepts. Some real-world AI applications covered in this course include:
This course is specifically designed with guidance from leading global experts in education, robotics and computer science for students aged 14–18 who have a passion for AI and coding.
Introduction to Scratch with AI Extension
Build a Language Translation System
Develop an AI Program to Play the "Stroop Effect" Game
Design an AI Chatbot
Develop a Model to Mimic the Vehicle Traffic Control System
At the AI World School (AIWS), we inspire students to discover the elements of AI and flourish in an AI-driven world. AIWS is an Online Learning Platform that provides Transformational AI and Coding Technology education to students. The project-based AI courses have been specially curated for students aged 7 to 18, with guidance from leading global experts in education, robotics and computer science. The courses are designed around the “5 Big Ideas” as proposed by the AI4K12 task force led by Dr. David Touretzky, Carnegie Mellon University and are fun, creative, collaborative, ethical, empathetic, inclusive, purposeful and socially impactful. The AIWS platform hosts 200+ hands-on, real-time coding experiences that are intuitive, self-paced and self-directed, with a variety of STEM challenges and project-based learning approaches.
