About The Course

You are at your creative best in your teenage years, and it is the best time for you to start discovering your entrepreneurial strengths. Students who are exposed to the right entrepreneurial thinking and experiences go from being mere consumers of information to becoming creators and change makers and from being job seekers to future job creators.
    Every entrepreneurial journey starts with an IDEA!
    In this course, you will learn from seasoned entrepreneurs and discover the entrepreneur within yourself. You will understand what sets an entrepreneur apart from an employee. You will also take the first step on your own entrepreneurial journey and develop and pitch your very own First Business Idea.
    At the end of this course, you will begin to see a world full of opportunities and become adept at coming up with your own business ideas. You will also learn the frameworks and techniques to evaluate and develop your business ideas and identify your ideas’ unique value proposition.

Who Is This Course For?

This course is specifically designed for students aged 13–15 and will add tremendous value to their career paths and assist them in their aspiration to be future entrepreneurs, land corporate jobs or be in the civil services.

Course Objectives

The Entrepreneurship Essentials course will help you:
  • Gain an understanding about Entrepreneurship and the Entrepreneurial Mindset
  • Learn to identify business opportunities and generate business ideas
  • Evaluate your business ideas using the Idea Funnel and DFV frameworks
  • Use brainstorming techniques, such as SCAMPER and Six Thinking Hats
  • Understand how to perform competitive analysis and identify Unique Selling Propositions (USPs)
  • Create your own business idea pitch

Sanjeeva Shivesh

Founder, The Entrepreneurship School; Co-Founder and Program Director, ThinkStartup

Sanjeeva Shivesh is a Serial Entrepreneur, the Founder of The Entrepreneurship School and Co-Founder and Program Director at ThinkStartup. Sanjeeva has served as a civil servant with the Government of India. Subsequently, he worked as Strategy Consultant with Booz & Co. at their London Office. His passion lies in teaching Entrepreneurship, Innovation and Design Thinking. He has been Adjunct Professor at MDI Gurgaon, FMS and TERI University, besides teaching at Singapore Management University, IIM Rohtak, IIM Kashipur and IIT Delhi. He is an active panellist on economic affairs and policies on CNN News, India Today TV, Doordarshan and AIR. Sanjeeva is a B. Tech from IIT, Delhi and an MBA from the Cranfield School of Management, U.K.
