This is an era of technology -- an era where machines are being designed to provide the best of services that challenge the limitations of time, distance, topography, boundaries and realms.
Computers have transformed their presence as artificial intelligence (AI) into our day-to-day routines and have in fact made us dependent upon technology to an extent that the human civilization cannot imagine even a few seconds without them.
The silver lining is that the controls are still in the hands of humans by means of precise instructions that are fed into the AI unit by means of coding. The importance of a huge in-demand skill now cannot be ignored in this decade of technology. It is interesting to note that the New Education Policy suggests and advocates teaching kids how to code from early classes with a good reason and an elaborate plan of incorporation it further in to the systems.
Each and every machine, computer, every website, smartphone app, computer programme, calculator and even air conditioners rely on code in order to operate and obey this digital language and command called coding and that is why coding has become the new normal and all the more important. Technology and research have brought impregnating transformations in human lives and the way we work with coding being one of the change makers for the new century. Learning to code has brought an undeniable change in the modern education system, the approach and the application.
The change is reflected even more during these Covid-19 pandemic times when the entire lives have shirked to a living room with all activities limited and controlled by technology from ordering grocery, work from home culture, online studies, medical requirements and consultations, commercial activities, neighbourhood meetings, get together and what not that we wouldn’t even have had dreamt prior to the pandemic.
The good part was that all was running on well with no glitches, thanks to the team of tech-driven coders who could perceive the Doomsday in sight and were preparing to fight back!
Just to mention that coding is the most important skill for future jobs. It’s a skill that isn’t just relevant for the future programmers but to each and every aspect of human life.
It is very strategic to mention that knowledge of using a programming language strengthens analytical skills, interpretative skills, language proficiency, attention to minute details and adding a dimension of discipline to overall approach.
All these skills are applicable to just about any career and is held in a high demand. Learning to code is always playful for the young minds and something which is fun-loving is easily understood and transcended. It is just like learning any skill such as learning to dance, paint or drawing by getting motivated since it is easy to pick by the young minds.
Learning this skill makes young the minds creative as they experiment with different codes. The children get a chance to design something that is their own. They improve while doing something they love to do it by taking the feedback.
Finally in this era as digital technology becomes an integral part of our daily lives, demand for people trained at coding will only increase manifold but also become a necessity for life.
The creator of this universe is a maser coder, carefully designing a unique DNA code for each and every living being. Let’s pick up the momentum for there and ensure that we are not left behind in this magical domain called ‘CODING’!
