With changing environmental factors, degrading habitats and consistently altering food webs, it isn't a surprise that many species of animals are going extinct. Climate change and global warming have only sped up the pace. Evolutionary biology isn't always a perfect science. Usually, the last two titles a specie takes on is 'endangered' followed by 'extinct'. Some animals go against the grain and evolve from 'extinct' to 'endangered'. This, technically, is impossible unless the species had never gone extinct in the first place. Very occasionally, some species that we believe to be extinct find ways to survive and gradually restore their population. Here are some such animals that beat out extinction.
