Taj Mahal of China
Since China is good at remaking things, it has constructed its own Taj Mahal too! This monument, sometimes known as the Window to the World, is located at a Shenzhen theme park. It also has copies of other well-known landmarks, such as the Leaning Tower of Pisa and the Eiffel Tower.
Taj Mahal of Dubai
Dubai has also gone ahead in getting its very own Taj Mahal over the years. It is widely recognised for its glitz and opulence, as well as larger-than-life monuments. As a result, it's no wonder that the Taj Arabia in Dubai, built as a $1 billion project, is about four times the size of the original Taj Mahal in Agra! It's a 20-storey hotel replete with 350 rooms, shops, and restaurants in Dubai's famous Mughal Garden area. It has a total area of 2,10,000 square feet and features architecturally themed structures as well as lush green surroundings.
Taj Mahal of Bangaldesh
The Taj Mahal of Bangladesh, which is located in the capital city of Dhaka, was built by Bangladeshi filmmaker Ahsanullah Moni in 2008. His visits to the original Taj Mahal in Agra served as inspiration, and he erected this copy in his own nation as part of a movie set in the hopes that it would remain in place and attract more tourists to Dhaka. According to the filmmaker, he had this concept in 1980 when he first saw the Taj Mahal, because everyone wanted to see it, but only a few Bangladeshis could afford to go, thanks to the expense of the trip.
Taj Mahal Houseboat, Sausalito, California
During a visit to India in the mid-1970s, vineyard entrepreneur Bill Harlan was so impressed by the Taj Mahal that he decided to build a duplicate! When he returned to California, he began construction of the Taj Mahal Houseboat, a version of Taj Mahal on a boat. Further, one of his travels to Kashmir's Dal Lake served as inspiration for the design. Bill stayed on this Taj Mahal Houseboat until 2016, when he sold it and moved to Napa, California.
Royal Pavilion, Brighton, United Kingdom
Well, you read that right. Even United Kingdom has its very own Taj Mahal! The Royal Pavilion is a British structure that is strikingly similar to our own Taj Mahal in Agra. It was created as a seaside getaway for George, Prince of Wales, and is also known as the Brighton Pavilion. According to various reports, the structure was inspired by India's 19th century Indo-Saracenic style, which gave it the appearance of the Taj Mahal.
