There are unique and eye-catching activities promoted in some Instagram accounts that are managed by genuinely artistic people. While social media has a dark side, these wonderful IG pages can be a source of inspiration and creativity for your little one. Here’s a list of 5 such pages that can help boost your child's creativity. 

5-Minute crafts 
This is a great place for quick and inspired art from everyday stuff, using science hacks that make it more interesting. Make ballet dancers from wire and hand tissues, or a bag from a T-shirt. An added attraction of this account is that it features time-lapse videos that are just about a minute long, so kids can pick up the process easily. Most of the art and crafts are easy enough for pre-teens.

This IG account and the associated website were created by Bar Rucci, an art teacher, author and graphic designer from Connecticut, USA. A mother of three kids herself, Rucci creates unique pieces of art from mixed media and posts the pictures on her Instagram feed, along with instructions on making them. Artbarblog is particularly good for kids who like painting.

Diply is a social news and entertainment community, Crafty is the DIY and craft wing of this website. Their Instagram feed is hugely popular and features some original and highly doable craft ideas like book holders form cereal cartons, edible pen decoration, stamp paintings etc.
