Apart from the popular engineering entrance exams like JEE, there are other tests for aspiring engineers. Hundreds of engineering colleges across the country conduct their own entrance exams. One such engineering entrance exam is GEEE.
GEEE (Galgotias Engineering Entrance Exam) is a national level entrance exam for admission to Galgotias University, a private university in Greater NOIDA for aspiring engineers. It is conducted once a year in the month of June. The university offers 16 undergraduate engineering degree courses (B.Tech) such as in civil engineering, automobile engineering, mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, electronics and communications engineering, chemical engineering, Internet of Things (IoT), computer science engineering and many others. This year’s registration has been open since the first week of February and will continue till the end of April. Here’s everything else aspiring candidates need to know.

Exam pattern
As part of GEEE, candidates will have to appear for a single paper divided into three sections namely: Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics. Each section consists of 30 questions each, making the total number of questions to 90. The questions are objective type multiple-choice ones (MCQs). The syllabus follows any 10+2 science curriculum in India.
Marking scheme
The total marks of GEEE are 90. Each of the 3 section has 30 marks each. Each correct response is awarded with 1 mark. There’s no negative marking for wrong answers or unattempted questions.
Mode and duration
GEEE is conducted offline via pen and paper mode. Candidates can only write their paper in English. The duration of the exam is 1 hour 30 minutes.
