The institute conducts a national level entrance exam, one every year, for undergraduate aspirants who wish to pursue degrees such as B.A. Honours and B.A. LLB. Exam pattern
The UG entrance exam of Jamia Millia Islamia contains a single paper with 100 multiple choice questions (MCQs). The paper is divided into two parts, Part A and Part B. While Part A is common for everybody and contains General Aptitude, Logical Reasoning and English Language Assessment; Part B focuses on the specific subject for which the candidate has applied. Both sections have 50 questions each. The syllabus follows that of any 10+2 curriculum of any recognised Indian school boards.
Marking scheme
The total marks of Jamia Millia Islamia UG entrance exam is 100. For each correct response, candidates will be awarded with 1 mark and for each wrong answer they will get a negative marking of 0.25. However, there will be no mark deduction in case of unattempted questions. The paper is divided into two sections that have 50 marks each.
Mode and duration
The mode of the exam is online via computer-based system. Candidates can answer their papers in English only. The duration of the exam is 1 hour and 45 minutes.
