The much-awaited Grand Finale of ClassAct 2022, the Hindustan Times Republic Day Quiz, conducted on 26th January from 3pm to 6pm, concluded with a massive success. The preliminary round of this quiz was held on 23rd January, in which a record number of over 50000 students had registered from 32 countries across 5 continents and 32644 students participated. Now, these numbers are likely to break records in the realm of online school quiz. Out of the total number of Prelim participants, 175 had qualified for the Grand Finale. After the finals, 80 winners were announced: 40 were from the junior category in the Prelims and 40 from the Grand Finale. The full list is available on the official Page of ClassAct 2022.
The Grand Finale consisted of 30 questions in total, and there were both multiple-choice questions (MCQs) and type-in ones. Participants marked on the basis of both correct responses as well as speed and each question carried 1000 points.
