Why international music exams are beneficial for Indian students

There are a lot of Indian students who love playing the guitar, piano, violin, drums or any other western instrument. It’s fun, it’s creative, and it’s a stress buster. Then there are the students who are a bit more ambitious or a bit more passionate about making music. This article is about them. If your child has the flair and fire, you need to prepare him or her for international music exams, and here are your reasons.  

Necessitate validation   
 If your kid is working hard to make progress in music, you need a way to recognise their success and reassure them that they are on the right track. International music exams don’t end in impressive, decorative certificates. They only take the young musician to the next level by telling them that they are learning it right, and they have a long way to go.  

They are milestones  
Anyone can still be a musician without taking exams. But later on, if your grown-up kid wants to assess their progress chronologically, these music exams will become the milestones of their student career. The outcome of each examination can be used to convince others of their proficiency level, and pave their way if they want to take up a career in music or even upgrade their skills.

When an Indian student takes an international music exam, he or she knows it’s a global competition. It’s an arena where only their skill will be judged, nothing else. If a child starts on graded music classes and exams from school, they develop a well-focused perspective that positively affects their studies too. A 12-year-old who has played before an international music examiner knows all about motivation and control in the face of fear and pressure. They will never have stage fright, and focus on what they are doing.
