Schools provide not only ample curricular experiences to foster students' knowledge but also offer a plethora of opportunities for development in areas that not included in the curriculum. These extracurricular activities help students develop life and cognitive skills necessary to succeed. But shifting to online education has abruptly interrupted the overall growth of students. While campus learning has a way of involving students in co-curricular activities, it becomes a challenge to ensure the holistic development of kids when they are home bound. This is because confinement halts community engagement. In this edition of HT Dialogues, educators, counsellors, psychologists and parents discuss the importance of co-curricular activities for the all-round development of children and what measures schools are adopting to ensure a wholesome learning experience for them through extracurricular activities while continuing with virtual classes.
