For everyone who spends a considerable amount of time on YouTube, here’s some good news. Turns out that your go-to video streaming platform now has a brand-new mechanism for video uploads. This way is both effective and convenient.
Wondering what exactly is it? Well, users can now see how long will it take for them to upload a video of a high quality (be it Standard Definition, High Definition or 4K) before they sit down to upload them. So, from now on, if you intend to upload a video on this Google owned video streaming platform, you can know from beforehand the duration it’s going to span through. This means that you can plan your activities depending on it. Not only that, it will also help YouTubers like you to share more than one video within a regular time frame. However, as expected, the higher the quality of the videos (the ones with HD or 4K resolutions), more the amount of time needed to process them.
For those unaware, earlier, YouTube used to display two separate waiting periods prior to video uploading. The first part revealed the time required to upload a file and the second part exhibited the time that the platform needed to process the video into a full-quality version. But now, with this latest development, video creators will be able to share a video faster than before. However, the best part about this new feature is that, it allows the YouTubers to schedule the videos and even keep a track of the time they take to get uploaded.
Sources cite that the feature has already been rolled out and most users can view it if they are using the latest version of YouTube. For the ones still unable to access, they will be able to do so by the year end. Experts also suggest that YouTube was able to unveil this feature recently as it had removed more than 5.6 million videos from its platform within the period of July and September 2022. Why? Because the videos were in violation of the platform’s community guidelines. This has made sufficient space available for the platform and the launching of this latest feature. However, out of the 5.6 million removals, around 29000 were reinstated after final review and a series of appeals from the users in the last two months.
Currently, YouTube is on its way to ensure accuracy of its system and provide a better experience for all users ahead of the new year. Interestingly, YouTube made this new announcement via its support page on Twitter.
