CSKM Public School, Chattarpur, has always followed a very humanitarian and compassionate ideology in its quest for spreading education that is irrespective of gender, caste, creed, religion and socio-economic status.
From the inception, the focus has been on preparing citizens who are productive problem solvers and not simply facility enjoyers as is also reminded everyday to its stakeholders through the school song.
“Living & working ‘rough & tough’ and not facility enjoyers
“Problem Solvers” we shall be, ready to manage best & worst”
The school motto ‘Busy Bee Pleasure’ aligns with Mahatma Gandhi’s statement, “Toil by itself is not enough, one must enjoy it” and gives us our purpose.
Through the ‘CSKM Rights – Right Thought, Right Attitude, Right Speech, Right Conduct, Right Mindfulness, Right Effort, Right View and you decide what is right but be prepared to justify it as righteous’ we instil values and character. All children are believed in and are nurtured to realize their potential and become winners in their own right.
Sustainable development is woven into the curriculum seeking for the students to imbibe it not only through special activities but as part of their daily routine rigor.
So, recycling paper and other waste, chalk making, tree plantation, respect for Mother Nature through walks, gardening, street plays on environmental awareness and all other expressive mediums are utilized to learn about sustainability.
The themes for all competitions -- be it painting, public speaking, poetry writing etc. -- are linked to the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (UNSDGs) in line with ‘Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam’.
Working with the head, the hand and the heart for a meaningful outcome is encouraged.
Activities conducted online in the last session include webinars, projects, virtual visits and collaborations such as: In Conversation with Mr. Nilay Jee Upadhyay on ‘the river Ganga’, tree plantation drive by CSKM residential faculty and resident staff children, Nutrition and Wellness by Dr GS Kochar, Cool Teens – Life Skills Awareness by Suvarna Aggarwal, psychologist, Wellness Coach, and Beenu Malhotra, Life Skill Trainer and Facilitator, and virtual visit to Project Why NGO on “Valuing people and Environment, Understanding Organic Farming, Zero Waste, Nurturing Gratitude”
