“Time is really the only capital that any human has and the only thing he can’t afford to lose.”
It is often said that time management is life management. Time management is the process of planning and controlling how much time to spend on specific activities. Effective time management enables an individual to complete more in a shorter period, lowers stress, and leads to career success.
The significance of time management for students appearing for board examinations can’t be disregarded. Board examinations play a significant role in deciding the career of a student. These exams are conducted in a standardized manner by a governing body, and with a proper blueprint. They play a crucial role by helping students in selecting the stream of their own choice. Moreover, board exams are evident in determining the course of student’s careers.
Time management during board examinations is increasingly important and opens further avenues of successful learning. It strengthens their insights and acts as the stepping stone for their glorious future. Time management leads to successful accomplishment of goals and takes a student to another level. Hence, it is essential that the students should be well-acquainted with time management skills including goal setting, prioritization, delegation of tasks, and adaptability.
Time management is the lynch-pin of any exam preparation, and board examinations are no exception. Managing time efficiently during preparation of board exams and in the examination-hall is quite prominent. Effective time management skills are indispensable in helping students complete their syllabus and finish their papers comfortably within the allotted time.
Time management is an art that not only brings discipline in a students’ life but also optimizes their overall growth. Time management requires habituating students to a disciplined schedule. It is of utmost importance to balance studies with other daily essential tasks. Good time management reflects on students’ health and adds to their energy.
One problem that students often face is not completing their syllabus on time. This leads to cramming up all the chapters just before the board exams, which unfortunately fetches them lower scores than expected. With proper time management techniques, students can not only complete their syllabus on time, but also have some extra time left for their revisions. When students manage their time effectively, they don’t have to stay up late to finish their tasks. Getting a good sleep is essential for the brain and the body to recharge, and this reflects positively on their health and energy levels. The best way of time management for students is to create and follow a fixed timetable for each day. This is beneficial since they will have a clear idea of the different tasks allotted for each day, and they could also easily mark the tasks as done after completing them.
Managing time well leads to more opportunities, and less time is wasted on trivial activities. The ability to prioritize and schedule work is extremely desirable for the success of an individual. Students who practice good time management can achieve goals better, and that too in a shorter length of time. Making and following a schedule also reduces anxiety among students. As the students check off items on their “to-do” list, they can see that they are making tangible progress and effectively completing their tasks. This helps them to avoid feeling stressed out. Students who can manage time effectively tend to spend more time on hobbies, physical activities and other personal pursuits.
Time management ensures greater productivity and efficiency, less stress, increased chances of advancement and more opportunities to achieve life and career goals. The students start feeling more in control, with the confidence to best choose how to use their time.
Therefore, students need to dive right into the core skills of time management: prioritization, scheduling, and focus. They need to inspire themselves by learning how to set goals and discover what it is that motivates them to attain success in the ventures of their life.
