The Emissions Gas Report 2020 by the United Nations Environment Programme that despite a brief dip in carbon dioxide emissions in the year due to COVID-19, the world is heading for a significant temperature rise this century. The Human Development Report 2020 has come up with solutions to heal the planet. The suggestions of this report include restoring forests, ending subsidies for polluting oils, gas and coal, cutting food waste and keeping soils in good condition.
