Are the Nazca lines of Peru designed by aliens? 

Have you ever visited a place that makes you wonder how a human could build it? Well, some places and structures on Earth and in space will have you believe that alien visitors constructed them. But did they? Come, let’s find out more about these places.  

Nazca Lines 
The Peruvian desert has over 800 long straight white lines randomly etched into a high, dry plateau 200 miles southeast of Lima, the capital of Peru. In addition, 300 geometric forms and 70 animal lines, including a spider, monkey, and hummingbird, can be seen in this desert. How long are these lines? They extend for miles! The most extensive formations, as seen from above, are approximately 1,200 feet. These Nazca lines are known as one of the best examples of alien artistry on Earth due to their ancientness, size, and cryptic nature. How long do they date back? Scientists believe the lines to be up to two millennia old! Are you considering the possibility that an ancient civilisation created these lines? But could they fly? So, how did an ancient culture produce such a large-scale work of art in the desert? Understanding them is relatively simple. These cryptic patterns, known as geoglyphs, are created by removing the top, rust-coloured layer of rocks to reveal the brighter, white sand underneath. However, understanding why these lines were created is a little more challenging. Recent research indicates that the Nazca lines refer to ritual sites associated with water and fertility. 

Teotihuacán, the 'City of the Gods'  
Teotihuacán is a large, extinct city in Mexico that is well-known for its pyramidal temples and astronomical orientations. The colossal Pyramid of the Sun is by far the most famous structure in Teotihuacán. The city was constructed more than 2,000 years ago, but despite its ancientness, size, and complexity, it is very much a human creation. How can we say so? Scientists believe that a fusion of cultures, including the Maya, Zapotec, and Mixtec, built a city that could accommodate more than 100,000 people over centuries. Teotihuacán, with its murals, tools, transportation system, and indications of superior agricultural methods, is regarded as far more technologically advanced than the pre-Aztec civilisation of Mexico. 

Human faces on Mars 
The rock formations on Mars were captured by NASA's Viking 1 satellite in 1976. NASA spotted shadows that give the appearance of a human face! Can we see it? Yes, you will be able to see the 'face on Mars' this century if Elon Musk gets his way. It is in Cydonia, which divides the calm plains north of Mars from the more cratered landscape in the south. But what do the scientists say? they have rejected the alien theory and consider the 'face' as a mere shadow play. However, over the years, the shadow has gained popularity among those who believe advanced alien civilisations with a passion for architecture have been visiting our solar system!
