Theare are creatures in the animal kingdom that do possess amazing abilities, which are no less than superpowers. Here, we shed light on three such animals with the qualities of your favourite superheroes.
Bumblebees
A bumblebee, or the large-sized bee belonging to the genus Bombus has the superpower of sixth sense. Wait, what does that mean? It turns out bumblebee has the unique ability to generate positive electrical charge by simply flapping its wings. Now, when it lands on a flower, it auto-transfers some of this charge to it. But here’s the twist. Bumblebees can sense if a fellow bee is on another flower busy removing its pollens. This is how they know which flower to avoid, as they don’t want to intrude into the business of their friends. We humans can sure learn a thing or two from bumblebees!
Sloths
Most sloth species, especially the three-toed ones, are known for their super-slow speed. But as the saying goes, the universe always has its way of compensating. Maybe that’s why sloths have the superpower that enables them to practically recover from any injury. Not only that, this recovery process is super-speedy. The reason behind this superpower? Well, it’s not definite, but most scientists believe that sloths have various beneficial bacteria living inside their fur, which help them recover rapidly from any wound. It’s as if they are naturally gifted to fall and survive, even a drop of 100 feet.
Reindeer
Watch out these superheroes! Reindeer have the super power of seeing UV light! They have a highly-evolved vision, allowing them to locate their food as well as escape potential predators even in a difficult Arctic landscape. Here’s another piece of interesting factoid for you. Lichens, the primary food of reindeer and their most threatening predator, wolf—both are able to absorb UV light. This makes it easy for them locate their prey and predator even in the UV-reflecting snow. Seems like Mother Nature has armed reindeer with a superpower to survive!
