Pop ups and ads while using Android apps and games are annoying and distracting at the same time, more in case of study who often lack the patience or maturity to deal with such interruptions, be it during their study hours or during leisure.
When young users do want to block these ads, they come across premium versions, that are expensive. However, with the advent of the recently upgraded Android version 11, a way to work around it has been found, that will lets users block ads on offline applications. This new advantage is applicable to the apps and games whose data are stored offline on Android devices and can function in absence of any internet connection. However, it may not apply to all apps and games.
Step-by-step guide to blocking ads
The question that first comes to our minds is how do ads appear? Well, the answer is simpler than we can imagine. They are auto downloaded on our Android devices and appear as per pre-set time. However, in most cases, if the device has no access to the internet the first time the app is being used after installation, the ads don’t get a chance to auto-download themselves. This can be done by intentionally cutting off internet to prevent pop ups of adds. This is how you can proceed.
Uninstall and reinstall the app: To prevent ads from appearing out of the blue, the data folder of the app/game needs to be clear. For this, one can simply uninstall the app and then reinstall it. On the other hand, one can also clear the cache from the device’s app storage settings. However, one must make sure to not immediately open the app after reinstallation.
Go to the app info settings and disable internet connectivity: To block advertisements, go to the “App info” page next, on the “Settings” of the android device. Under “App info” page, choose the relevant app, then click on its “Mobile Data and Wi-Fi” or “Network” or a similar option. Unselect all the options under it, i.e., disable all possible access to the internet and you are set. Simply save your new settings and exit the page. The device’s Android skin or ROM at times even offers master toggle to disable connectivity by the help of a single toggle. Now return to the app, open it and enjoy an ad-free experience.
