High school girl students can apply for this scholarship now
An initiative by IIFL Samastha Finance Limited, Shiksha ki Udaan Scholarship for the year 2021-2022 is now open for all girl students in India studying in class VIII and up to graduation. The campaign motto of this scholarship programme is ‘Empowering a Girl with Wings to Fly.’ This scholarship programme has been introduced to provide assistance to meritorious female students who belong to economically weaker sections of the society. The goal of this programme is to provide sufficient financial aid to girl students. thereby reducing their drop-out rates and enabling them to keep pursuing their education. This scholarship scheme is part of IIFL group’s CSR (Corporate Social Responsibility) initiative. Here’s everything else interested candidates need to know.
Eligibility criteria
- Female students from India are eligible for this scholarship.
- Candidates should have any one of the governments issued identity proofs from the following list: Aadhar card, Voter ID card or PAN card). Candidates also need to submit a proof of their school or college’s identity card along with a marksheet of the previous class and current year’s admission.
- Candidates must be studying in class VIII or enrolled in a full-time under graduation programme from any reputed schools or colleges respectively.
- Candidates should have successfully passed their previous class with minimum 50 percent aggregate marks or above.
- Candidates’ family income from all sources combined should not be more than INR 3 lakhs.
Benefits offered
An amount of INR 5000 per year will be provided as financial assistance to all female candidates selected under this scholarship programme who are studying in class 8 till the end of their graduation. The scholarship is eligible to be renewed every academic year.
Selection procedure
Once the applications are successfully submitted, a team of experts will be screening them and then shortlist top 50 students from all classes (class VIII to graduation) equally based on their academic performance and financial status. Thereafter, a telephonic interview will be conducted for each shortlisted candidate followed by document verification.

The deadline for the application submission of Shiksha ki Udaan scholarship for 2021-2022 is 15th January 2022.
