Apart from medical, engineering happens to be the most sought-after career option for youngsters in India right after their higher secondary.The National Testing Agency (NTA) conducts the all-India Joint Entrance Examination, popularly called JEE every year in three rounds, namely: Prelims, Mains and Advanced for admission into B.Tech and B.Arch as well as other allied courses across IITs, NITs and several other reputed engineering colleges across the nation. However, JEE happens to be a highly-competitive and challenging exam with only a handful of applicants managing to clear the rounds. But engineering aspirants can look for alternative entrance exams too in order to enhance their chances of securing a seat in a standard engineering college, in both national and state levels. Here are some of the options.
VITEEE
VITEEE, popularly called Vellore Institute of Technology Engineering Entrance Exam is a national level engineering admission test conducted by the Vellore Institute of Technology (VIT) for admission to its several B.Tech courses across its campuses in Vellore, Chennai, Bhopal and Hyderabad. At present VIT is ranked as the 12th best engineering study and research institute in India and one of the most appeared entrance exams after JEE, by the Education Ministry as per the last NIRF rankings. Registrations are now open on the official website for VITEEE 2022.
AEEE
AEEE, also known as Amrita Entrance Examination for Engineering is conducted once every year in two phases by the country’s 16th best engineering college called Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham, popularly called Amrita University for admission into its undergraduate engineering courses such as B.Tech, B.E. and B.Arch. AEEE 2022 will be conducted in June and July and the registration process has already begun on the official website.
SRMJEEE
SRMJEEE, also known as SRM Joint Engineering Entrance Examination is conducted once every year by the SRM Institute of Science and Technology for admission into its UG engineering courses such as B.Tech across its eight campuses in Vadapalani, Kattankulathur, Ramapuram, Amravati, Haryana, Sikkim, Tiruchirappalli and Delhi-NCR-Ghaziabad. SRMJEEE happens to be the 7th best engineering entrance exam in the country and its registration for 2022-2023 session is now open on its official website.
BITSAT
BITSAT (Birla Institute of Technology and Science Admission Test) is an all-India level entrance exam for the country’s undergraduate engineering aspirants conducted the Birla Institute of Technology and Science (BITS) for admission into its engineering courses such as B.Tech and B.E. across three campuses in Pilani, Goa and Hyderabad. Registrations for BITSAT 2022 is now open on the official website.
