Art is a fun, enjoyable activity for students. It keeps them busy and happy at the same time. By giving them a sensory input, art also allows youngsters to process their thoughts and emotions in a safe way. Art is best learnt in school. However, there are certain online resources such as YouTube channels that kids can check out while getting started with their love for learning art. They may learn the fundamentals of art, get subject ideas, and experiment with a few other art styles by watching these YouTube channels. Here is a compilation of some of them.

Art for Kids Hub
Subscribers: 5.87 million

The Art for Kids Hub channel is run by Rob Jensen, a US-based Bachelor’s in Fine Art (BFA) graduate from Brigham Young University, USA. The channel features his wife and four kids, Jack, Hadley, Austin and Olivia. Every weekday, a new video is released in which Rob draws fun things with one of his children, step by step. Everything about the channel, including its studio is happy and colourful. The videos are simple enough for children to follow along by themselves.

Drawings of everything right from snacks to mystical creatures to bugs and characters from popular TV series, movies, novels, and video games can be seen on this YouTube channel. Sharpie markers on plain white printer paper are typically used to produce drawings on Art for Kids Hub, but children can use pencils, coloured pencils, or other art supplies too.

SchaeferArt
Subscribers: 6,49,000

SchaeferArt, run by California-based artist Brandon Schaefer, is an excellent place for aspiring artists to start. There are plenty of art tips and lessons on it, as well as bigger tutorials, vlogs, and even live stream videos of people drawing on the channel. The channel features a collection of videos through playlists.  One such play list is Learn to Draw, which features videos on everything right from perspective and learning how to see an object properly to shading and compositional standards.

Drawing for Beginners is another playlist that covers some of his recommended drawing supplies before moving on to discussing drawing fundamental shapes. Brandon shares a range of ideas and talks about inspiration, practising, drawing methods, shading, and more on the channel's Drawing Tutorials & Lessons playlist that contains a few videos. Overall, SchaeferArt is a great place to start for beginner artists who are serious about drawing, and Brandon's laid-back and knowledgeable style makes it easier to get started.

Super Easy Drawings

Subscribers: 78,300

Let’s accept it, not every kid out there wants to create path-breaking, significant pieces of art. Some middle and high schoolers only wish to learn enough to draw a few simple objects. The YouTube channel, Super Easy Drawings, teaches them exactly that. The artist draws simple versions of a range of objects, including plants, clothing items, castles, scenery, musical instruments, etc. Since the art videos on this channel don’t require any high-end art supplies to begin learning art, the channel is great for both youngsters and adults who want to learn how to make simple drawings.
