How many of you are Marvel Comics fan? Did almost all of you raise your hands? Well, we aren’t surprised at all! Marvel is after all the most loved comic franchise in the world. Here is a good news for all you Marvel lovers. The trailer of Marvel’s highly-anticipated film Ant-man and The Wasp: Quantumania has recently been released. It is all set to release in February 2023.
Now, for those unaware, Ant-Man is a universally loved superhero comic series envisioned by Marvel’s very own superhero creators: Stan Lee, Larry Lieber and Jack Kirby. It first appeared on print in 1962 in the collection Tales to Astonish #27. It revolved around the persona Ant-Man, who was the superhero alias of a distinguished scientist named Hank Pynn. However, when Pynn converted his superhero identity to Giant-Man, his followers and reformed thieves Scott Lang and Eric O’Grady decided to try out Pynn’s Ant-Man persona as well.
Part of the original Avengers cast, this well-treasured Marvel character first appeared on screen in the 2015 superhero film Ant-Man, followed by Captain America: Civil War in 2016, Ant-Man and The Wasp in 2018, Avengers: Endgame in 2019 and now in Ant-Man and The Wasp: Quantumania, the sequel to Ant-Man and Ant-Man and The Wasp.
The latest venture that is expected to officially kick off the fifth phase of the Marvel Cinematic Universe (31st film), will revolve around Ant-Man or Scott Lang (played by Paul Rudd) and The Wasp or Hope Pym/Van Dyne (played by Evangeline Lilly) and their new-found adventures.
It will be a reunion of the Ant-Man family where the duo along with Hope’s parents Hank Pym and Janet Van Dyne are all set to explore the Quantum Realm. In case you are wondering what the Quantum Realm is, it’s a miniscule dimension in the Marvel world (inspired by the idea of Marvel Microverse) that can only be entered through subatomic particles and can help in time travel. Regardless, in the Quantum Realm (where both Ant-Man and Janet Van Dyne were once stranded), the family will interact with new and mysterious creatures and embark on an adventure that will push them beyond their limits. What is expected to be a front for many interesting encounters, this latest trailer (first of the three-part) also gives the fans a sneak peek into the iconic Marvel villain Kang the Conqueror (played by Jonathan Majors) and his role in the film.
Ant-Man and The Wasp: Quantumania will be directed by veteran Marvel filmmaker Peyton Reed, and its much-awaited story has been penned by Jeff Loveness.
