"Udaya Kumar Dharmalingam, from IIT Guwahati designed the Indian rupee symbol. The symbol is designed using the Devanagari letter ‘Ra’ and Roman capital letter ‘R’. The letters are derived from the word Rupiah in Hindi and Rupees in English. We use money in some form everyday! Let us learn more about the Indian Rupee!"
