The Indian Flag

In 1947, a month before India officially got independence, a committee was tasked with selecting the most suitable design for the national flag. The Indian National Congress' flag was selected to be the national flag. This move upset Mahatma Gandhi, who felt that the symbol of India's battle for economic and political freedom was being replaced. Ready to learn more about our national flag and its history?
