Wood

The blade of cricket bats is made using English white willow wood, as it's both light and shock-resistant. Willow trees grow very fast and the bats can last decades. In fact, a bat dating back to 1729 is still in existence and on display in the Sandham Room at The Oval in London. Is wood indispensable? Check out for yourself!
