About The Course

Cartooning and caricature are two of the most exciting and fun ways to express oneself through art. In this course, you will pick up the techniques that differentiate cartooning from regular drawing and the features that convert a portrait into a caricature. Imagine the fun you’ll have drawing hilarious caricatures!
This course will also focus on personifying inanimate objects; applying out-of-the-box expressions; and creating cartooning sequences using motion lines, ground lines and the elements that make a cartoon funny.
This course will comprise all elements of drawing, such as proportions, balance, perspectives, placement, expressions, motion and so on. We only use basic mediums for colouring—crayons, pencil colours, chalk pastels, colour markers or brush pens, as we focus on colour theory and related concepts.

Who Is This Course For?

This course is specifically designed for 10–15-year-olds who want time off from academics to have fun drawing caricatures and cartoons.
